Ultrasound is a multi-directional and cost-effective technique used in various clinical applications because of the wide-ranging interactions with biological systems. It has been used in diagnostic imaging for more than 50 years, until continuing its progress in the development of real-time, three-dimensional (3-D) systems, and functional imaging techniques. It is a noninvasive, nonionizing technology that can be designed in versatile device of configurations, enabling its use for a multiple applications. Different approaches of URDDS include microbubbles, nanobubbles, nanodroplets, liposomes, emulsions, and micelles are clinically used in different types of ailments. However, the development of microbubbles contrast agents has opened many new opportunities, including new functional imaging, and the possibility of molecular targeting.
