When JD, an experienced and reputable journalist, meets Warren, a young aspiring writer, he begins to rethink everything he knows about storytelling. He becomes fascinated with Warren’s short stories, but they gradually take on darker themes, hinting that something is very wrong.

Three years later, Warren quits writing without explanation, and JD loses all contact with him, despite many efforts to reach out. JD revisits Warren’s stories to uncover the truth, but as each one reveals more about its writer, JD begins to fear he’s not going to get the ending he wants.
