In 1969, when the author met Oigle; a cheeky young kid with an infectious smile, at Little Marley Beach in the Royal National Park, to the south of Sydney, they formed an instant rapport. Their shared love of the pleasures of fishing, camping and enjoying a laugh and the company of mates around the fire, cemented that bond. They only knew each other for a few years; before the author travelled overseas seeking new horizons, however they enjoyed some wonderful boyhood times.
