Inhaltsangabe

In an era of rapid technological advancement and increasing global interconnectedness, the ideal of "justice for all" remains out of reach for many individuals and communities around the world. Although legal systems and constitutional frameworks often guarantee equality before the law, access to justice is frequently shaped by broader social, economic, geographic, and institutional realities. Marginalized populations continue to face significant barriers when seeking legal protection, representation, and remedies, limiting their ability to fully exercise their rights. At the same time, technological change and globalization are creating new opportunities as well as new challenges for legal systems striving to become more accessible, equitable, and responsive. Understanding these barriers and identifying pathways toward more inclusive justice systems has become an increasingly important priority for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers. Systemic Exclusion and Access to Justice: Legal and Social Challenges in the Modern Era provides theoretical frameworks and empirical research on how modern legal systems perpetuate or dismantle systemic exclusion from access to justice. Through theoretical discussions, empirical research, and case-based analyses, this book contributes to a deeper understanding of justice as a fundamental component of human rights, social equity, and democratic governance. Covering topics such as compensatory citizenship, gender responsive access to justice, and the constitutional promise of justice, this book is an indispensable academic resource for graduate and doctoral students, legal practitioners, attorneys, judges, mediators, human rights advocates, civil society organizations, policymakers, and more.
