Climate policy, spatial planning, and resilience intersect in complex ways in border regions, where environmental systems and political jurisdictions rarely align. These areas often face vulnerability to climate risks while navigating fragmented governance, differing regulatory frameworks, and uneven response capacities. Integrating climate policy into cross-border spatial planning offers an opportunity to move beyond isolated national strategies toward coordinated, place-based solutions that reflect shared ecological realities. By prioritizing collaboration, adaptive governance, and long-term resilience, border regions transform from sites of policy tension into areas for innovation, where joint efforts strengthen social, economic, and environmental collaboration. Climate Policy, Spatial Planning, and Resilience in Border Regions analyzes the transformation of sustainability and climate governance in border regions through cross-border cooperation, spatial planning, and innovative policy frameworks. It positions borderlands as strategic sites for resilience and sustainable development. This book covers topics such as hydrology, migration, and public policy, and is a useful resource for engineers, policymakers, climatologists, academicians, researchers, and scientists.
