Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Dr. Imam Uddin brings more than 18 years of blended experience from industry, academia, and research. Currently, he is working as a Professor & Director of the Center for Islamic Banking and Finance, CBM-IoBM. He has earned PhD degree (2004-2008) in Islamic Business & Finance which is considered and recognized as one of the specializations under the umbrella of the Faculty of Management Sciences in the global arena. Being highly demanded in the contemporary Islamic banking industry, his area of specialization was the comparative analysis of the implications of the partnership modes of Islamic Financing on the structures of banking & non-banking financial institutions in the emerging markets. Besides this, he has done a Specialization Degree in Islamic Jurisprudence, Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), and Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking & Finance from reputable Institutions & got the status of approved PhD supervisor in the field of Business Management & Business Education by HEC. Prior to joining the Institute of Business Management, he has had the experience to work for different institutions/universities in Pakistan. He served DHA Suffa University as an Assistant Professor as well as the Head of Department at the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences from January 2014 to Mid-2015. Before that, he served the University of Balochistan Quetta in the capacity of Assistant Professor in Islamic Banking and Finance from April 2012 to December 2013. Moreover, he served Mohammad Ali Jinnah University as an Assistant Professor, Department of Banking and Finance & Centre for Islamic Economics (CIE) as a Lecturer of Islamic Banking & Finance from Jan 2005 to July 2011 which is not only recognized worldwide for its Islamic banking and finance education but also a pioneer to develop Islamic banking industry in Pakistan. As far as his industry exposure is concerned, Dr. Imam have the privilege to serve the Islamic Banking Industry in the capacity of Islamic Finance expert for many years.

Arsalan Haneef Malik is an academic and financial professional with a PhD from the University of Malaysia Sarawak, Arsalan Haneef Malik (Ph.D) is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) Karachi, Pakistan. With a strong background in accounting and finance, he is dedicated to fostering intellectual growth and professional development among students. As the Editor of Pakistan Business Review (PBR), a leading academic journal, he contributes to the advancement of business and industry research in Pakistan. Arsalan Haneef Malik’s research interests encompass financial inclusion, stability, institutional quality, and environmental and social sustainability. He has published extensively in prestigious journals, sharing his insights with the academic community. Committed to nurturing future financial professionals, he provides mentorship and guidance to students, encouraging critical thinking and practical application of knowledge. Awais Ur Rehman is a Finance, Law, and Islamic Finance expert, holding a PhD in Finance, MS Finance, LLB, and MSc in Economics. With over 5 years of experience, he has excelled as an Assistant Professor, and Lecturer and also in the applied corporate world as Factory Manager. Driven by a passion for research, he has published in esteemed journals, focusing on Financial inclusion, Islamic finance, and behavioral finance.
