The impetus for writing this book came from observing the spirit of Materialism in our current generation - even among God’s people. The author identifies this Materialism, and discusses Self-Centeredness, Man-Centeredness, and the love of this World. The Way of the Cross is discussed as the path to God-Centeredness. The goal put forth is to live our lives not for our “selves”, but in pursuit of God’s eternal plans and purposes for His people.
