Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Jessica Berry is an author, researcher, and operations professional with a deep lifelong connection to early American maritime history. As a dedicated member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Jessica's passion for history is deeply rooted in her lineage: she has mapped her ancestry to 34 documented Revolutionary War figures, including Mayflower pilgrims John Alden and Priscilla Mullins. Her focus on naval history is a direct continuation of her family legacy, which features James McCobb of Maine, a vital member of the Revolutionary Committee of Correspondence and Safety, alongside William Cilley, a Massachusetts Navy Seaman on the Brig Freedom, and William Langdell Sr., an early American privateer. This profound maritime heritage was further personalized by her grandfather's service in the modern United States Navy, inspiring her to distill complex naval chronologies into accessible, high-yield formats. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Jessica specializes in technical strategy and digital media, using her expertise to make early American naval history engaging and accessible for modern readers.
