This is a biography of Frederik R-L Osborne, lifelong resident of the Finger Lakes region of New York State, telling of his life. He attended Deerfield Academy, served in the army for 15 months, studied at Harvard for six years, and then returned to Auburn to work with the Auburn Citizen Advertiser. He started Auburn Cable Vision and owned several radio stations. After he had sold both the newspaper and cable system, he turned to writing. He has written four novels. He also edited his father's and father-in-law's memoirs. He is an enthusiastic, but not very good, athlete who has set two world records on the indoor rowing machine.
