Fruit trees bear fruit. That is what defines them.

We can determine how healthy or unhealthy a fruit tree is by the health and abundance (or lack thereof) of the fruit on the tree. We can get an idea of what nutrients the tree has or is lacking by the state of the fruit on the tree.
