The Sole Sister, a group of True Crime Book Club members set out to select their second cold case which they hope to solve. When a high school girl disappears she is first expected to be a runaway, then identified as a victim of kidnapping. Using less-than-legal methods one of the Sole Sisters identifies a possible kidnapper, and then follows him to his 'hideout'.They quickly determine they have located a group organized to provide girls for a sex trafficking operation. The investigation quickly grew from local law enforcement in The Hamlets Florida (A drinking community with a golfing problem) to the local FBI, and then the National FBI and EUROPOL got involved. What was thought to be a small local operation is found to be a part of an international sex trafficking operation.
