Snowflake was a happy young prairie dog who loved art, ballet, and the violin. However, her high expectations for her first day at school were dashed when her classmates excluded her because of her unique white fur. Sad and lonely, she found comfort in her parents' advice to be kind and patient.

The next day, Snowflake's talents and kindness began to win her classmates over. In winter, her white fur helped her save a classmate, Rusty, from danger, changing how everyone saw her. Snowflake's bravery and uniqueness were finally appreciated, and she learned to be proud of her unique white fur.
