Bed, Breakfast and The Beyond (Tate vs. Fate, Band 1) - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

When the owner of a bed-and-breakfast hires private detective Confidence Tate to investigate several thefts, Connie goes undercover to find out who’s been making off with historical and collector’s items from the inn. While she and her right-hand man, former rapper Jay-Ray, try to solve the mystery using their intuition, technology and investigative skills, she meets a memorable cast of characters/suspects who populate the possibly-haunted inn during Octoberfest in Missouri wine country.

Who’s the pilferer? Is it one of the absent co-owners? An employee? One of the contract housekeepers? Or a guest—the husband-and-wife musicians who stay there occasionally? The husband-and-husband couple who may or may not have a gambling problem? The persnickety but charming wine dealer? The state representative in town during the legislature’s off-season?

Or is it the ghost who makes a nightly appearance at the inn?

Connie and her assistant, ex-rapper Jay-Ray Lowry, put their intuition, technology and investigative skills together to figure it out—with moral support from friend Sarah, boyfriend Logan and brown tabby Columbo.

The first of the Tate vs. Fate series of murder-free mysteries. First-Place WInner of the 2025 NFPW Professional Communications Contest in the Fiction for Adult Readers – Novels category.
