The novel exudes the feelings and scents of summer holidays taking the reader through stunning scenery, all of which should bring back nostalgic memories. Although the book holds its own, it is the follow-on from the writer's first self-published novel, The Cornish Scoop, where the main policing character, Treavey, began his career in a nearby seaside town.
