The planet Meniscus is undergoing political change. After Abra discovers that Dock-winders and Gel-heads have the same origins, the power structure in Prell District shifts and Humans are escaping Dock-winder dominance. But in El’ban District, the revolution has not been so quiet and the leader of the Resistance, James, has been imprisoned. Aella, lone member of the Resistance in Enbricktow, travels to Themble Hill to ask for help in freeing James and a party of Humans sets off for El’ban. The way is long and difficult and the Humans must face many perils before they reach the city and try to rescue James.
