This is the story of my personal journey of faith – from growing up in a Taoist family in predominantly-Muslim Malaysia, to becoming a half-baked ‘Darwinist,’ to this next stage of my journey as a follower of Jesus.

For me, faith cannot be an irrational leap in the dark. In this book, I share with readers the issues that I have struggled with. I have used evidence from nature, science, and the strange worlds of quantum physics, chemistry, and biology – to explain the rationality of my faith. There will be no mathematical or scientific proofs or slam-dunks, only plausible explanations and ideas that pointed me towards Christianity. If anything, readers will hear my self-doubts in these pages.

Along with perennial questions like the existence of God and Why suffering? I share with readers plausible explanations for miracles, evolution creationism, virgin birth and the Christian concept of the Trinity. We discuss the intricate Goldilocks conditions needed for the existence of life and the mathematical elegance of the universe. This book is therefore for those who are curious about ‘Life and the Big Question’ as well as for those, like me, who have doubts but have been afraid to ask these questions for fear of being judged and misunderstood.
