With the fire sword Yuuki in their possession and Kirami in their party, Jack Thunder and his friends are nearing the end of their quest. The only Fragment of Anima they have yet to find is Excalibur, a sword infused with the power of Light. The five heroes make their way down to the Forest of the Young, where they find the grotto where the Light Champion Puer Aeternus used to live. But when they reach the Grotto of the Young, they find it in a state of disarray, with Excalibur nowhere to be found. With Puer Aeternus doing little better and the wendigoes pulling out all stops, the crew may just need a miracle and the help of a chatty new friend to find the last of the Fragments of Anima.

This is the sixth title in "Jack Thunder and the Fragments of Anima:" a series of short novellas about the adventure of a little storm gremlin who finds a powerful magical artifact inside of a mountain and goes on an epic quest to make friends across the world and prevent the Heart of Darkness from returning and draining the world of Altairus of all its magic. On his journey, he must find the six Fragments of Anima, powerful magical artifacts imbued with the essence of each of the six elements; Air, Water, Darkness, Earth, Fire, and Light. Once upon a time, the Fragments were called upon to banish the Heart of Darkness back to the Flipside. Now, Jack Thunder and his friends must use them to save the world from utter destruction once again.
