Ledge Pond - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Candice has a mission. Get to the cabin. Stay focused. And when the time comes, end a deadly cycle that began over fifteen years ago.

Armed only with a strange plan, bizarre coping mechanisms, and wry snark, Candice enters the Adirondack wilderness believing she knows exactly what she's walking into.

Danger is expected. The woods aren't the problem.

The men leading her to the isolated cabin can’t be trusted. Candice doesn’t care. As far as she's concerned, she bought a one-way ticket to make her last stand against a killer. Carl.

But the closer she gets to Carl, the more her boxed-up past intrudes on the present—and the more inconvenient dying becomes.

Someone knows the truth. Someone wants her dead.
Candice is just beginning to remember why.

A dark and cynically amusing psychological mystery about memory, trauma, survival, and what happens when the mind finally opens the boxes it sealed to protect a child.
