Office Maxi - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Day one. New job. The printer just tried to eat her.

Welcome to the Company, a monster fighting corporation where "gamified employment" isn't just a corporate buzzword but a brutal reality. In her office, Maxi's stats determine her salary, her class defines her life, and "termination" means a one-way trip to the morgue.

After stumbling into a Level -1 penalty because of bureaucratic dysfunction, Maxi is assigned to the "Lus3rs," a bottom-tier office pool where the lowest performer is killed at the end of every month. But Maxi isn't a typical cubicle drone. By dumping every possible point into Luck and choosing the versatile Generalist class, she begins to break the system in ways even the elite players, the Power Twelve, didn't see coming.

Armed with an overpowered +2 Yellow Shirt of Growth from a lucky drop, Maxi must lead her team of misfits—including a Hacker, a Ninja-Accountant, and a wild Inventor—through:

• Epic Raids: Facing off against colossal bosses like the Antitrust Lawyer and his swarm of razor-sharp subpoenas.
• Feral Appliances: Battling Grutomatons. Murderous electronics ranging from bloodthirsty inkjets to predatory coffee machines.
• Quests: The Printer of Never Jamming may just be the legendary artifact Maxi needs to stop the Grutomatons for good.
• Corporate Conspiracy: Uncovering a plot within the upper echelons of management that may be linked to her father’s mysterious disappearance.

In a world where resurrection chairs are the only thing keeping her on the payroll, Maxi is about to learn that the corporate ladder is a lot easier to climb when she stops playing by the rules.

Will she find the mythical Printer of Never Jamming, or just become another red toner refill?
