This book takes you on a journey from Nighttime to Dusk - through all the different phases of light, experienced in twenty four hours, each symbolic of a stage of faith or season of life. In addition to the prayers, poems and other writing, there is also scripture to reflect on and practical suggestions on how to embrace each phase.

I’m very drawn to the light. I notice it while walking around the beautiful town where I live and observe how it dances against the honey-coloured stone of the old buildings. I notice how it brings life and also how it fades and the colours of the sky change in response. I am also intrigued by the symbolism of light and the numerous mentions of light in scripture. After all, we know that Jesus himself is known as “the light of the world.” (John 9:5 NIV)

I have prayed many prayers over this book and the words held in it. It is my hope and prayer that it won’t just sit on your bookshelf, but rather be a book that you use. I trust the Holy Spirit will speak to you through the words, guiding you as you need, giving you comfort and peace through prayer.
