Only A Dog (Illustrated): The True Story of a Dog's Devotion to His Master in World War One - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Voted one of the greatest dog books of all time!

Based on a true story from the First World War, but retold through the dog's eyes.

A lost Irish Terrier find himself in 'No Man's Land' in Flanders. Shot at by the Germans, he feels terrified and alone until a British sniper, risking his own life, crawls out to carry the injured dog to safety.

From that time on, the soldier and the canine who is soon-to-be christened 'Army' become inseparable. When the soldier dies, little Army is inconsolable and remains by his master's grave, refusing to leave, comforted only by the smell of his master's coat.

This is Army, the faithful Irish Terrier's story.
