Maddy and Quinn, two adventurous friends, discover a magical cave that opens a portal that transports them to different worlds. With the help of a magical owl necklace given to Maddy by her grandmother, they embark on a series of adventures, encountering magical creatures and uncovering secrets about the necklace's powers.

In this adventure, they meet two sisters, Diana and Nadia, who are spirits of the trees called driads. The sisters need Maddy and Quinn's help to find a rare mushroom that can heal their sick mother. As they navigate the Aokigahara forest, they face challenges and discover that the forest is alive with spirits. The girls are suspicious that Maddy’s grandmother knows about the magical necklace and they confront her. She confesses a truth the girls never could have imagined that involved an evil sorcerer and a secret magical world.
