Max Morrow is a wealthy man who is somewhat embarrassed by his own riches and seeks to use his financial power for good. Over time he establishes businesses, becomes a venture capitalist, and donates to worthy causes.
While his passion is a noble calling, he just like so many before him who attempt to do good, feels that he is not doing enough and so he continuously searches for ways to help others.
At some point he will come to realize that he can do no more, but that resolution is still far away.
