Me and My Snowball is the culmination of years of listening to children and young people who experience difficulties with attention regulation and high levels of energy. Often diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, they can be drawn into negative ways of thinking about themselves and assume the negative language within this label defines them as "disordered" or abnormal. Me and My Snowball aims to share with the reader the sentiments these children have shared with me over many years in education, as well as my own experiences of living with ADHD.

At Inicio Specialist Education Services Ltd, we encourage people supporting children with ADHD to redefine this label in their minds, considering the condition as attention dysregulation and hypersensitivity. Understanding the latter is paramount when considering the emotional experiences of children and adults with ADHD, and Me and My Snowball aims to provide a little insight into the hidden depths and intensity of experience these individuals navigate daily.
