We sometimes need to take a break and admire nature and all the creatures around us. The Heron Story is inspired by my daughter Kimi A. Medina-Castellano. She texted me one day saying that a blue heron was watching her as she drove into her garage at her house. Based on her comments and excitement, I was able to develop the story.
