Inhaltsangabe

Juneteenth, celebrated every year on June 19th, marks the day in 1865 when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally learned they were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. Known as Freedom Day, Juneteenth honors the strength, resilience, and legacy of those who endured slavery and fought for justice. Today, it stands as a celebration of Black history, culture, and the ongoing pursuit of equality in America.
