There are two types of anti-heroes, those who blunder their way through life, and those like Louis Tremont who figure out how the world works and manipulate it. Louis Tremont is an ant-hero who uses his looks, gift of gab, bravado and his charm to get what he wants without paying his dues. He refers to himself as “an ordinary guy,” but he has an unusual goal. He is a college dropout who is determined to live like a millionaire before he is thirty. He searches for happiness in the world of x-cons, strippers and models. He lived off the grid and reinvented himself many times. After surviving a daring car coup, his next goal was the acquisition of a mansion. It became his home and his business. It created the illusion of wealth and lured gorgeous women who attracted wealthy men to invest in his plans. Like the weasel Louis attracted his prey with his scent, the scent of money and sex. It’s also the story of his mentors and friends, who all wanted to be a part of his life.

Louis lived out many men’s dreams. Ironically, you may want him to succeed even though he admits to being a scammer, a liar, and a womanizer. Others may want him to pay dearly for his disregard of traditional values. Ultimately, his fate was as surprising to him as it will be to his readers.
