With a great deal of intensive research, Author and Genealogist, Cora Lee (Perry) Palma-Hayden has constructed an extensive ancestral Perry Family Tree, which includes an eclectic mix of famous families and personalities.
Dating back to several significant Mayflower connections, included are two famous Naval Officers – Commodore’s Oliver Hazard Perry, and Matthew Calbraith Perry; President Franklin Delano Roosevelt; noted Poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow; and the author’s distant cousin, Train Robber Oliver Curtis Perry.
Pursuing her ancestral quest, the author has located numerous members of her paternal Perry family, dating back into the 1500s in England. Many of the Perry’s emigrated in the early 1600s to be free from persecution, regarding their Quaker beliefs, settling in Massachusetts during the same years as the Mayflower Puritans.
