Joy Beyond Circumstances: A Devotional Commentary on Philippians - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

From house confinement, chained to a Roman guard, the Apostle Paul writes to his favorite congregation in Philippi: Rejoice in the Lord always! Obviously, Paul isn’t deterred by his earthly surroundings. He’s on a heavenly mission. Reaching beyond his earthly circumstances, he joyfully urges his spiritual children to join him.
Paul’s message of encouragement is needed for people today, in the 21st century. We are caught up in the complexities, complicities and difficulties of modern life that harass and depress us at times.
If we follow Paul’s example, we’ll break through the difficulties of today and enter the joy of eternity. We’ll rejoice in the Lord for what He is doing and encourage others to do the same. To enter the peace and joy of Jesus, become a humble servant, trusting your heavenly Master to take care of you.
