For years, Geir Lie has been a real, yet often unrecognized gift to the Pentecostal scholarly academy. As a Norwegian independent scholar, Lie has written, edited, and published journals, as well as a wide range of articles and books on Pentecostal historical and theological themes, especially those of interest throughout Scandinavia, Europe, and North America. All Pentecostals, however, can benefit from the many works that he has produced.
In recent years, I have noted on several occasions, the need for more regional research on the spread of the Pentecostal Movement throughout the world. This volume fills another relatively unknown or lightly acknowledged gap in Pentecostal historical and missiological research. It provides much new information on the history and development of the work done by Norwegian Pentecostal missionaries in a range of countries throughout Eurasia. It is not a simple biographical study that is focused on specific missionaries, though it does provide a deeper picture of the lives and ministries of a couple of them
