In a fractured near-future America split between Red States and Blue States, propaganda saturates not just the media but reality itself. Bureaucrats, scientists, cloned celebrities, would-be revolutionaries, and weary citizens stumble through systems that unravel the more faithfully they're obeyed.
Across vignettes of malfunctioning machines, surreal workplaces, dueling presidents (one of them an ape), and agents of cognitive control, this satire skewers conformity, ideology, and culture recycled into propaganda. Darkly funny, disturbingly close to the present, and absurd enough to feel ordinary, it's a portrait of how people are swept up in nonsense—and learn to embrace it.
If Kafka had written Terry Gilliam's Brazil—with Joseph Heller as his editor—you'd get something like this.
