Our Lowry Sketchbook in Colour - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

This anthology, focusing on the celebrated painter L S Lowry, is intended to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of his death in February 1976. The varied contents attempt to piece together our own ‘word pictures’ of the man whose art was often regarded as strange – and certainly different.
However we have come to regard his works, Lowry certainly broke the rules of painting with his strange little figures. Our collection includes short plays, stories, memoirs and poetry – as well as speculative pieces aimed at shedding some light on Lowry’s thoughts and inspirations as he went about his daily life in and around Salford and other places in the Greater Manchester area.
