Mrs McColl's Garden - Summer - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Step through the garden gate once more…

Summer has arrived in Mrs McColl’s Garden, and with it come long golden afternoons, warm breezes through the apple tree, and more adventures than any sensible garden should contain.

Fergus discovers that watering cans are more complicated than they look. Douglas the robin becomes locked in a territorial singing match. Hilda conducts a very serious garden inspection. Gregor the butterfly worries that the beauty of summer is fading far too quickly. Meanwhile Mairi the hedgehog refuses to share the best patch of shade in the entire garden.

And when a sudden summer storm sweeps across the burn, the creatures of the garden must work together to protect the smallest and most fragile plants from the rising water.

Full of gentle humour, quiet wonder, and the rhythms of country life, Mrs McColl’s Garden – Summer is a charming collection of thirteen stories about friendship, community, and the small adventures that grow in warm soil.

Perfect for readers aged 7–11, and for anyone who remembers the magic hidden in ordinary gardens.

Come and spend the summer in Mrs McColl’s Garden.
