The template provided here in is an actual personal property report that I used in my fifty years of appraising. Sage advice for the beginner: Join an accredited appraisal society (ASA, AAA, RICS), take their courses, pass the USPAP exam, and master your word processer. Then buy and study this book before you open your practice and accept clients. I held the highest rank in all three of the societies mentioned above. It was hard work, both physically and intellectually. It’s even more difficult if you tend to be a perfectionist, as I am, because everything takes longer to do it right the first time. The pinnacle of the personal property profession, in terms of pay and pressure, is expert witness work, television appearances, university teaching, publishing, and billionaire clients.
