It is such an honor to walk alongside you on this journey of parenthood with Jesus. What a gift it is to seek Him, know Him, and delight in Him together—especially when it comes to raising our children.

Biblical identity—understanding who we truly are in Christ—is one of the most important truths we can teach our children (and one of the most important truths we can continue growing in ourselves).

When we don't know who we are or why we were created, it's easy to feel lost, confused, and empty. That emptiness often leads us to search for fulfillment in people, possessions, achievements, or experiences that were never meant to satisfy our deepest needs. It can also often lead us farther and farther away from God toward harmful paths and unhealthy relationships as we search for something—anything—to fill that void. But God, in His goodness, reveals to us our true identity, purpose, and worth through Jesus Christ.

As parents, we have the incredible privilege and responsibility of helping our children discover who God says they are and what their purpose is. We are called to plant these truths deep within their hearts, water them with God's Word, and remind them of them often so they never forget.

My prayer is that the Lord uses this guide to encourage and equip you to do just that the same way he has and is for our family. In the pages ahead, we'll explore what the Bible says about identity, why it matters so deeply, what God asks of us as parents, and practical ways we can help our children build their lives on the unshakable truth of who they are in Christ.
