After sighting an uncharted island while on a mission and in flight, Gil McCoy is drawn to find out more about it. He obtains time off from his Special Forces missions to find the mysterious island. Once there, he discovers even stranger things - things that are unexplainable and otherworldly. Gil presses on with his own private mission of learning the true meaning of what is revealed to him during conversation with a glowing visitor on the bridge that leads to the mysterious island.
Gil's search takes him from Fuji, to Hawaii, then to Colorado as he seeks answers to his hard questions. In The Bridge (extended version) the reader follows along as Gil finds new discoveries about himself that require a change in order for true reconciliation with his family can occur.
