What starts with incredulity soon escalates into a social media frenzy as literally hundreds of supposed witnesses share their account. The story unfolds via posts on the decentralised social media platform Mastodon.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Lydia is an online apparition who frequents the Fediverse and you can follow her there (currently) at: @LydiaConwell@todon.nl. She is just some nobody with an art school background, who lives in London, writes stories in her spare time, owns a cat and loves noisy, avant-garde music.

Lydia often writes futurist worlds, which she describes as Synehitopian - that is, a continuation of our current political and technological landscape rather than a strictly dystopian future. Her stories explore manipulation, control and power dynamics, and people's willingness to succumb to the rule of corporate hegemony.
