Fay and Shiloh are both heirs to the Halcyon-Eidolon bloodline, bearers of ancient magic their mothers bound at birth to keep them safe. For sixteen years, they've lived as ordinary girls in Sequestria, never knowing their true power or the war their mothers fled. Now, in the hidden sanctuary of Ancasteria, they must decide: remain in safety with their powers suppressed, or unbind their magic and join the resistance against the Council's tyranny.
But awakening their heritage means confronting the grandfather who watched their grandmother dissolve into code, the gene-forges designed to purge magic from their bloodlines, and the fathers they never knew existed.
