The Lobbyist (Power Players, Band 2) - Softcover

The Lobbyist

Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - What happens to a powerful man when he becomes a moving target A hero must emerge to remove the bullseye from his back! Welcome to Washington, DC, where the power players are more intriguing than anything happening under the Capitol Dome. Lobbyist Sean Fitzpatrick is a force on Capitol Hill, crusading for the rights of those in need of a champion. Women. Minorities. His own rainbow community. He doesn't back down from a fight, even though sometimes his means to an end aren't exactly ethical. When he finds out his assistant and sometimes friend-with-benefits is shopping his dirty laundry to the highest bidder, Sean takes the matter in hand and fires the young man. A few days later, Sean's car blows up in the garage of his office building, bringing Sean into the spotlight in a very unflattering way. Jericho Hess served his country until an accident brought about his medical discharge. The desire to serve his country doesn't disappear as he fights his personal demons, and when he gets a chance to be of service to someone who needs protection, he steps in at the urging of a few Lonely Heroes. Upon meeting Sean Fitzpatrick, Jericho is attracted to the man's no-nonsense approach to grabbing life by the balls and hanging on, devil be damned. Can Jericho, a real-life cowboy, ever adjust to the man's sometimes caustic attitude and keep the man alive, even though Jericho would like to strangle him on occasion Could Sean ever enjoy life on the ranch without all the trappings of his free-wheeling Washington, DC, lifestyle.
