The Gaslight Apparition (The Blackthorn Chapbooks, Band 1) - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

The Gaslight Apparition A lamplighter's duty. A flame that will not hold. A shadow that walks beside the light. In the fog-choked streets of Whitethorn, the lamplighters tend their nightly trade. Each flame banishes the dark - yet one man discovers a lantern that refuses to keep its fire. Where its glow falters, a shape waits in the mist, watching, waiting, following him from street to street. As whispers spread of an apparition bound to the gaslight itself, the lamplighter must choose whether to confront the shadow or let the darkness claim the town. The Gaslight Apparition is the second of the Blackthorn Chapbooks by Edwin Blackthorn - Gothic tales in the spirit of the Victorian penny dreadful. Short, chilling, and steeped in atmosphere, they are stories to be read by lamplight when the house is quiet.
