Two very different powers oppose each other, and each seeks to gain absolute hegemony in the world. One power is poor and spiritual. The other power is rich and pragmatic. Both powers manage to create deadly weapons, and the fear of mutual destruction forces the opponents to end the struggle in a draw. The fates of the main characters in the story are tragic.
