Mildly gifted with ESP, he marries and soon after, recouperating from a brain operation, he is abducted, and taken to the same planet as his great, great, great, grand mother. His arrival on the same planet as his family is strange, especailly as his presence starts a war that has been hundreds of years in the making. LIfe is harsh, people lived in unddrground warrens to escape the Inhanth, a race of warriors who hunt mankind for food and as a rite of passage to aduklthood.
