Lisa Flaherty is currently a kindergarten teacher in the Boston Public School System. She has worked in early childhood classrooms for over 20 years and has always dreamt of being a children's book author. Her ultimate goal is to create an entire series of picture books based on her many adventures as a teacher, with a focus on lessons in social emotional learning. Her role as an educator has also made her a connoisseur of literary works for kids ages 4 through 8 as she has read HUNDREDS of them over the years. Barry the Brilliant is her debut book.
