And he definitely didn’t expect ALI, the mind-reading program that he created to run the virtual world, to get distracted by an apple tree sapling.

Truthfully, there was a lot that Arthur didn’t expect before he joined ABRAHAM. He probably shouldn’t have been so surprised, then, to learn that a tiny flaw in the company’s system had the power to wipe out all life on Earth.

“ABRAHAM” is a science-fiction story that probes the persistence of reality, faith, and humanity against the backdrop of digital ubiquity. Ultimately, the novel tackles the question: is the “perfect world” somewhere that you can just escape to?
