Two years since the necromancer was defeated. The queen is missing, presumed dead, and King Vanarzir is back to taking and enlisting children. He begins this warpath in the Bomoku Mountains, home to the mysterious Dragonborn.

Rafik returns to Alutopek, traveling to join the rebellion and stop the king. Easier said than done, though, when a hound from the underworld begins hunting down him and his friends.
