These stories are indeed exceedingly short, and many of them moreover are quite short also in the story aspect, normally expected of short stories. But he felt that though lacking in stature, aplomb, and natural literary worth, because they had all basically been inspirited by a dream, he would proceed with the whole dubious enterprise. Now normally in the blurbesque descriptions he provided to entice manifold readers (three) he relied on his wit and verbosity. In this case though he took dictation verbatim from a possessed typewriter he had found at a rummage sale. He did not know who or what it was possessed by, but then again, who does!
