The year is 2529.
Earth froze over a century ago. Humanity survived the catastrophic plunge in temperature known as "Dante's Reign," but the cost was absolute submission. Today, the remnants of civilization are kept alive by Life-Factories—monolithic atmospheric refineries controlled by a fascist World Government that holds a brutal monopoly on the planet's heat and oxygen.
To fuel this monopoly, the regime relies on the dangerous and volatile work of "Star-Fishers." These daring, desperate crews launch retrofitted orbital hulls into the void, dropping magnetic pots to harvest raw, screaming solar plasma directly from the sun's corona. It is the deadliest job in history, and the only thing keeping the lights on in the frozen slums below.
Captain Andromeda Kellum of the Liberty 7 and his fractured crew of veteran pilots—including Captain Robert Castle, Mahrée Valois, and the brilliant engineer Stoddard—have spent years flying into the fire just to survive the regime's crushing quotas. However, when the World Government—commanded by the ruthless General Chapman—slashes the payout rates to bankrupt the independent fleet and replace them with automated drones, the Star-Fishers are pushed to the brink.
Forced out of their uneasy compliance, Kellum and his allies realize that surviving the ice isn't enough. Spurred on by the dangerous, unvarnished truths broadcast by an underground pirate network known as the Downhold Wire, they form the "Green Leaf Fleet" and launch a desperate blockade to choke off the solar supply.
In a frozen world where the elite hoard the very air, survival is no longer enough. It's time to reclaim the future.
