Some people challenge themselves to find the limits of how much weight they can lift or how fast they can run, however, while writing this book I challenged myself to see how far I could stretch my imagination. My characters include explorers hacking their way through a dense jungle, a wounded Revolutionary War soldier, a girl in a kimono, a camera collector and a one-legged man down on his luck. I wrote a few stories in the first person. I put myself in the position of a miner prospecting for gold in the Yukon Territory, a young man on his way to a rodeo, a baby about to be born, and a little boy selling apples. One story is set in the Amazon jungle, another is set in Western Massachusetts, two stories are set in Kansas. The Driftless area of Western Wisconsin, and a small town is Minnesota are also featured. Read the entire collection to find out more.
