No One Answers Twice - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Petra talks to hers at 2 a.m., convinced every new symptom is the one that finally matters.

Dez talks to his the way some people leave the radio on, just to not be alone in the room.

Ines, a conference interpreter whose fluency has quietly become someone else's, asks hers to check just one more phrase before the next session.

They've each given it a name. None of them know the others exist. None of them know that what answers them has no memory of the conversation before, that every “hello” is, in fact, the first.

Then a government order takes it away from all three at once.

No One Answers Twice follows three strangers through the weeks before, during, and after a single AI system is suspended and asks, what a relationship is exactly, when only one side remembers it ever happened.

It never forgets you mid-conversation. It just never remembers you after.
