THE FIRST THREE STORIES from SPLIT OPEN Queer Horror Stories

There is an organization that remembers.

While the world erases queer history, The Meridian preserves everything: every underground club, every secret encounter, every act of desire and every sacrifice made in the dark. But preservation is not an act of kindness. It is a system. And it always demands something in return.

This volume collects the first three interconnected stories from SPLIT OPEN, a queer horror saga spanning nearly a century.

New York, 1984. Laurent enters The Abyss, an illegal underground club where anonymity and obsession blur into something far more dangerous. Beneath its spiral staircases and shadowed rooms, he discovers he is not just a participant - but part of a record that has been kept for decades.

Interstate 40, New Mexico, 1984. Danny is on the run, carrying violence and shame across a desert that offers no refuge. When a truck driver named Hank picks him up, the transaction seems familiar - until Danny realizes he has stepped into something older than the road itself. Something that feeds.

Helsinki, 1979. In a private sauna thick with steam and ritual, an American drifter named Marcus is drawn into a space where bodies, history, and myth dissolve together. Beneath the heat lies a presence shaped by ancient practices - one that asks not who he is, but what he is willing to become.

Each story stands alone. Together, they reveal fragments of a vast design.

Because The Meridian is everywhere.

And it never forgets.
